Academic excellence is a point of pride for Chi Omegas. In recognition of the exceptional accomplishments of our members, the Chi Omega Foundation awards scholarships and grants to collegiate and alumnae members. Thanks to the generous support of many alumnae and the commitment of our collegiate members, the Chi Omega Foundation assists our members through academic and leadership scholarships. Over $350,000 is awarded each year to help members of Chi Omega with educational expenses.
Members of Chi Omega are invited to apply for our national scholarships and grants. Scroll down to view descriptions, deadlines, and links to applications. Click on apply for eligibility requirements. Applications open eight weeks prior to each deadline. Deadlines are around the same time annually.
The Judith Babcock National and Chapter Scholarship Program of Chi Omega
Judith Babcock, an educator and philanthropist, whose life modeled her belief in education and helping others through scholarship. Judith Babcock was a resident of Coral Gables, FL, an Initiate of Upsilon Delta | Miami who received her master's degree from Florida State University. For 32 years she was a teacher and media specialist with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools and a member of Coral Gables Congregational Church. Through Judith’s estate, she made a generous contribution of $2 million to the Chi Omega Foundation for scholarships. In recognition of her gift, the Foundation has named the Scholarship Program for Judith.
Helping Hands Fund for Undergraduate Support
This fund was created to help provide support to undergraduate members of Chi Omega Fraternity in good standing who may be experiencing financial hardship.
Helping Hands Fund for Disaster Relief
This fund was created to help Chi Omega alumnae and collegians who are suddenly in financial need due to Presidentially-declared disasters.

Through this program, we are able to come to the aid of alumnae at times of crisis.
Engineering Impact - Bobbie Banaszak Gleiter Scholarship
Bobbie Banaszak Gleiter was an Initiate of the Chi Beta Chapter at Purdue University. Bobbie was an accomplished aerospace engineer and an advocate for women in engineering. She established the Engineering Impact - Bobbie Banaszak Gleiter Scholarship fund for Chi Omega collegians and alumnae pursuing a career in engineering who are in an ABET-accredited engineering program.

The Jean Mermoud Mrasek Scholarship for Panhellenic Leadership and Excellence
Jean Mermoud Mrasek has an extraordinary history of service that spans from a collegiate officer, National Leadership Consultant, chapter advisor, National Panhellenic Conference Delegate, Fraternity National President and National Panhellenic Conference Chairman. Chi Omega Fraternity established this fund to honor Jean’s dedication. The scholarship is for delegates who have been selected as Panhellenic Council officers for the upcoming year and are going to the National Panhellenic Conference College Panhellenic Academy. The scholarship can include support of conference registration, travel, and incidental expenses and can be made directly to the leadership development program.

Rowdy and Lucky Shain Scholarship
Foundation Trustee Melanie Maxwell Shain and her husband John established the Rowdy and Lucky Scholarship to honor the immense affect their two cats had on the Shain family. The scholarship is available for Chi Omega collegians who are currently in their junior or senior year and alumnae pursuing degree programs in animal welfare or veterinary medicine.

Alumnae Educational Grant
The Alumnae Educational Grant assists Chi Omega alumnae who want to further their education for career qualification or advancement. Eligible members must show alumna status by the application deadline. Alumnae who fulfill these requirements are encouraged to apply.

Elizabeth Carmichael Orman Memorial Scholarship
Honoring a past National President, this financially need-based scholarship assists collegiate members with senior-year academic expenses. Applicants must be enrolled in their junior year or returning as a fifth-year senior during the upcoming academic year. Elizabeth Carmichael Orman dedicated her life to the education process. Her devotion to the principles and ideals of Chi Omega was a lifetime commitment that enabled her to serve as S.H., S.M., S.K.A. and a chapter advisor. This scholarship honors her devotion to education and Chi Omega Fraternity.

Mary Love Collins Memorial Scholarship
Mary Love Collins dedicated her life to Chi Omega Fraternity and the entire fraternity world. Mary Love served as S.H. for 42 years and continued to be a leader in Chi Omega and the entire greek community for years after. A lawyer by occupation, Mary Love was committed to higher education. The Mary Love Collins Scholarship is awarded to Chi Omegas who are enrolling or currently enrolled in graduate school on a full-time basis. There are TWO separate applications: one for current collegians, senior or fifth-year seniors, and one for alumnae.

This application is for current COLLEGIATE members of Chi Omega Fraternity, senior or fifth year applying to a full-time graduate degree program for the upcoming academic year.
FOR ALUMNAE
This application is for current ALUMNAE members of Chi Omega Fraternity enrolled or enrolling in a full-time graduate degree program for the upcoming academic year.
The Humphreys Chi Omega Scholarship for Study Abroad
Cathey of Epsilon Alpha | University of Oklahoma and Don Humphreys are philanthropists committed to helping young people pursue their academic and career goals through the experience of abroad study. The scholarship is available for Chi Omega collegians in good standing who wish to expand their academic and career goals through the experience of studying abroad. The program MUST be a minimum of eight weeks. Preference is given to those traveling to emerging market countries.

Jan Boyd Blackwell Leading with Integrity Award
The Jan Boyd Blackwell Leading with Integrity Award is for initiated Chi Omega collegiate leaders in good standing who have demonstrated a courageous spirit of service and upheld the values of Chi Omega during a challenging time while leading her chapter. Members can be nominated, or they can nominate themselves.

Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Educational Grant
The Cincinnati Metropolitan Area Alumnae Educational Grant is underwritten by the Bahmann Foundation of Cincinnati. It is a program of assistance for Chi Omega Alumnae living in the Cincinnati Metropolitan Area who want to further their education. Applicants must be living in the metropolitan area of Cincinnati and 24 years or older by the application deadline.

According to IRS guidelines, scholarship awards must be used for educational purposes.
They cannot be used to cover Chi Omega dues and fees.
